This morning, east coast time, Tiger Woods ended up on the driving range at Carnoustie, and it didn’t take long for the rest of the world to see the KT Tape on the back of his neck. It didn’t take a genius to figure out that there may be an issue.
Many players wear this tape during every round to help them deal with muscle aches and pains and no one knows. Michelle Wei wears it a lot on her legs when she is playing, but when Tiger shows up to the course wearing it the world wants to know what is going on.
Tiger’s camp said that he woke up with a stiff neck. Sure, just about every other player on tour could get by with that excuse, but Tiger doesn’t get the same pass.
As we have said on here before, Tiger and his camp have never been the most truthful group with giving out information about his injuries. They give out less information than the New England Patriots do on the injury report weekly during the NFL season. Why should we believe them now?
Sure Tiger went out and shot an even par round and hit it really good on the front nine, including starting his round with a birdie on the first. This gives us hope that all it is was a case of waking up with a stiff neck, but lets see how he handles Friday, and then the weekend.
Dads Say So, we will have to see how the rest of the week goes. Golf has been great with Tiger back and keeping himself in contention. Golf is better when he is around so lets hope it is a stiff neck. If Tiger does have one more back setback we don’t think that he will be able to recover from it. Carnoustie may be the hardest course in The Open Rota so lets hope that Tiger was just looking for a little extra relief to take on this beast!
