Long before Tiger Woods was out there bombing it past everyone John Daly made the every day golfer love watching him pound a golf ball into a spot that no one could hit it to.  He went from a no name to everyone’s favorite golfer overnight after winning the 1991 PGA Championship.

A year ago John turned 50 and made his first start on The PGA Tour Champions at the Insperity Invitational.  Today Daly returned to the winners circle getting his first PGA Tour Champions victory and his first professional win in 13 years.

On his way up the 18th hole Daly bent down and kissed one of the painted Arnold Palmer Logo Umbrellas in the fairway and pointed at the sky as a tribute to Mr Palmer.  After holing out for the win Esteban Toledo led the charge out with bottles of champagne to shower Daly for getting the win.

Dads Say So we are really happy for John Daly in getting a win.  You all know how we like a golfing dad getting a win on any tour.  Daly is great for golf.  He hits it a mile and is fun to watch because you never know what he is going to do next.  He plays golf like all of us normal people do.  He lives by his motto, “Grip It and Rip It.”  He may enjoy a Jack and Diet more than practice but that is what the people love about it.  He is a mans man and has fun playing golf.  Congrats John!  Welcome back to the winners circle.  You deserve it!
