PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is a military program designed through the PGA of America foundation, PGA Reach, to introduce golf to Veterans with disabilities in order to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well- being. Through PGA HOPE programming, the SFPGA Foundation is in a position to make a more meaningful impact on the lives of America’s military Veterans. As many Veterans struggle with the transition back into civilian life, the game of golf delivers a new level of enjoyment. Learning and playing the game of golf is a proven activity that has positively impacts thousands of wounded Veterans nationwide PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is a program that is truly making a difference, as golf has become a therapeutic part of the rehabilitation process for many Veterans with disabilities.

On Thursday, May 4, GolfTrainingAids along with the First Tee of The Palm Beaches, met with many Veterans and members of the military, teaching them how to perfect their golf game. Alongside was Robb Heering Jr, a Class A PGA Professional. Robb’s has been working with Veterans for many years at John Prince Golf Learning Center in Lake Worth, FL. “Working with Veterans isn’t just gratifying, but very inspirational seeing how they overcome PTSD and other disorders through learning to golf” said Heering. Also helping was Program Director First Tee of The Palm Beaches Recognized Coach and LPGA Professional, Connie Capanegra. She is no stranger to helping Veterans with golf. Connie and the First Tee of the Palm Beaches has been working with them for quite some time now, providing them with the skills and confidence to take their game to the next level. “It’s always a pleasure to give back. Teaching Veterans is not only enjoyable for me but they inspire me to do better on and off the course.” said Capanegra.

Veterans really enjoyed products such as the Chipping Pro, Pocket Bunker, Perfect Swing Path Board and the Putting Arc. It’s fantastic to them enjoying golf and benefiting them and their families.

Dads Say So golf is a game that everyone should enjoy. Giving back to the veterans is great. As they risk their lives protecting our freedom is a reason so everyone of us to thank them each and every day and give back to them and help them enjoy their civilian life. Were so happy to work with our friends at in their endeavors to give back to to not only veterans but many other groups to help grow golf.
